This guide covers what's launching, when, what to preorder, and why. Everything here mirrors the facts on our full Attack of the Vine! hub, where we keep pricing live.

What's actually new
Three Pixar franchises debut
Attack of the Vine! is the largest Pixar drop in Lorcana history: Monsters, Inc. (Mike, Sulley, Boo), Up, and Turning Red all join the cast. That's a meaningful expansion of the character pool for both deck-builders and collectors who buy on character first.
Year Four story arc
The plot continues from Winterspell: the threat Elsa was trying to freeze back has returned as an invasive thorny vine that spawns "vineling" monsters and leafy duplicates of existing glimmers. Expect mechanical follow-through on those themes across the set's keywords and characters.
207-card set, expanded slots
A larger main set means a wider rares ladder and more room for chase-tier treatments. Distribution and exact card identities are subject to change before release — we'll publish the full breakdown on the hub once Ravensburger confirms it.
What to preorder, and when

Booster Box (24 packs)
Preorder now if you're a regular box opener. Wide retail launches July 24. Boxes from the first print run are the cleanest variance bet — pull rates haven't been distorted by reprints yet and chase singles are at their pre-stability prices.
Preorder on TCGplayer →
Single Booster Pack
Lowest-risk way to try the set. Useful if you just want a sample of the new art and characters without committing to a box, or if your local shop is offering pack-only preorders.
Preorder on TCGplayer →Trove
Illumineer's Trove
For collectors who also want the accessories. Trove includes 8 booster packs, 6 themed damage dice, a spin-dial counter, and a full-art storage box with 6 ink dividers. MSRP $49.99. Best if you'll use the accessories — not a per-pack value play.
Shop on TCGplayer →Kit
Prerelease Kit (LGS exclusive)
Best in-person experience. Available at participating local game stores starting July 17. Includes packs, a promo, and the prerelease-card pool. Reserve with your LGS now — kits sell out fast.
Should you preorder or wait?
Three honest scenarios. If you open boxes regularly, preorder one — first-run boxes have historically been the best ripping experience for Disney Lorcana sets. If you only want specific singles, do not preorder a box; wait two to four weeks after release for the post-prerelease price correction, then snipe the cards you actually want from our card index. If you want chase Iconics, sealed product gives you the only real shot — singles will be expensive day one.
Where to buy
For preorder we recommend either your local game store (best for the prerelease kit and community) or TCGplayer for online ordering with verified seller protection. Links above are affiliate — using them keeps the InkSight tools free at no cost to you. Disney Lorcana sealed product is occasionally available at big-box retailers, but allocations are unpredictable and not great for preorders.
Conclusion
Set 13 is the biggest Disney Lorcana swing of the year so far: a larger card count, three new Pixar franchises, the kickoff of Year Four, and the highest first-print chase ceiling we've seen since Wilds Unknown. Preorder if you rip; wait for singles if you don't. And keep an eye on our hub — we'll mirror every confirmed reveal there as Ravensburger releases it.
